COUTURE SPRING 2010 - ALL THE BEST

At CHANEL, girls are robotic dolls.
Sweet and pastel colors are mixed with metallic gray.
Something exceptional for the house : neither gold buttons (only silver ones) nor black, nor navy this season.
"Neon Baroque" Karl Lagerfeld explained.

At DIOR, girls look like amazons coming from the 19th century :
lace, draped satin and pastel colors mixed with equestrian influences.

Riding dress, 19th century

At ARMANI PRIVE,
Giorgio made romantical variations on the moon theme.
A very feminine collection, with an overall roundness.

At VALENTINO - one of my favorite (personal tastes) -,

girls sunbath on a martian beach this summer :

fluorescent, flashy and fresh colors, silver and nude, transparencies, all mixed in patchworks a la Rodarte.

Parisian Fashion Week in Brief

For F/W 2010-2011, men seem to be older and more serious... but not common either.

YESTERDAY (on Sunday 24th of January)
My favorite. Lanvin collection was the best. It was very eclectic and very 90's.

On FRIDAY

Classic masculine pieces with the RICK OWENS touch.

...

COMME DES GARCONS mixes classism and eccentricity

At Givenchy, Riccardo Tisci perseveres in his style both gothic and Classical, mixing masculine pieces with feminine ones. Black and white, transparencies, black tights, skirts and sandals, all mixed with the masculine classic wardrobe.

Compared to his previous collections, this one was rather disappointing. Not enough variety.

I don't really like KVA and this collection confirms my point of view. I was very disapointed by his F/W collection on Friday. Too minimalist, very dark, no style, homogeneous, only one strong point, many checkered shirts, reminiscent of the grunge era in a clean version.

On Saturday, at Dior Homme, Kris van Assche opted for a pseudo-classical style. A little better, but there were more creative designers at Dior... *sigh*

At the contrary, I really appreciate the boxing theme collection of Jean Paul Gaultier on Thursday. Very sexy.

Lots of leather and a highly masculine style.

John Galliano proposed a dual character for his F/W 10-11 collection :
Sherlok version

Chinese version
Very good collection too.

Alexander Mc Queen S/S 2010

I know It's a little too late but I just MUST put these pictures in my blog. I can't keep going on like this.
I think McQueen S/S 10 is the best ready-to-wear show I never saw.

THE CLOTHES
The collection is highly inspired by the sea.

Atlantis princess

Shellfish woman

Amazing prints (from different animals) mixed with a computer.
As gorgeous as butterfly wings !

THE HAIR
Hair looks like dorsal fins :

THE MAKE UP
Fake under-skin implants

They remind me Orlan ones :

THE NAILS

Metallic nails

But at this show the most surprising were the shoes...

I love when fashion is innovative !

TITANIC HEELS

ALIEN SHOES

and last but not least...

"ARMADILLO" SHOES

Alexander Mc Queen took inspiration from...

in order to make this :

AMAZING ! Oh my God, I'm still fond of this collection. I think I'll never get bored of it.

HOW TO WEAR THEM ?

The first to wear them was Lady Gaga in her music video "Bad Romance"

`

Lady Gaga wearing Mc Queen's shoes.
The shoes are covered with fluorescent green strass elements.
They were just made for her !

Daphne Guiness wearing Mc Queen's total look (dress and shoes).
What a surprise ! Isn't it ? I would have bet she would wear them.
Ridiculous and very ugly worn this way...

Camilla Belle wore a Mc Queen's dress too and was gorgeous in it.

Would you like to buy the "Armadillo shoes " ?
The problem is that it is very difficul to walk with these fabulous shoes. You can't do three steps without falling.

Yes girls, they are totally unwearable !

GOD BLESS YOU,
PRINZEY
